Trinity Preschool Activities for Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Willow Room- MWF class

We read "Miss Spider's Tea Party" by David Kirk

We used dry erase markers at the easel with spring time stencils.
We made "rainbow toast" by painting on toast with sweetened condensed milk colored with food colors

We ate it with our snack.

We did a nursery rhyme review, sang "Your face will surely show it", and "face the facts" for music time.

We played with the parachute in the gym today.

We talked about the letter "O" and made our word chart of words that start with the letter O.



The Maple Room, Oak Room and Stay & Play all went outside today to play on the playground.

Maple Room: Morning class

We read "The most beautiful kite in the world" by Andrea Spalding

We painted with these fun flip flop shoes with designs on the bottom.  You put your hand into the shoe part and press the design onto paper.  We will turn them into kites to hang in our room.

We had kite shapes with glue and shapes at the easel.

We did the "April song", "Hello Everybody, Yes indeed", and "Weather Rhythms" for music time.

We are learning about the letter W.  We asked the children "Does your name have a W in it?

Maple Room- afternoon class

We read "The very hungry caterpillar" by Eric Carle

We wrote the letter O & P and drew pictures of things that start with those words.
We painted with  back rollers at the easel.

We did some freeze dances, the itsy bisty spider, and 5 little fish fo rmusic time.

We went out to the playground today!!!!!

We did our letter chart of words that start with letters o and P and we looked in the monster box to see items the monster had that start with those letters too.  We also sang the wheels on the bus.


Oak Room: Pre- k class

We are learning about fish and under the sea.  

We read "Rainbow fish lost at sea"and "A fishy story" by Marcus Pfister

And "Should I share my ice cream?" an elephant and piggie story by Mo Willems

We cut out whale shapes that has a big hole in it where the stomach will be.  We added hair gel to look like water, and stickers of fish to look like they are inside the whale.

We did "5 little fish", "baby beluga", and "join in the game" for music time.

We worked on our journals on the letter Z.

We did the estimating jar that was filled with plastic fish. 

Stay & Play:

We read "Hippo-not-amus" 

we painted on trays, then we pressed paper on it to make a print of our painting.

We did "Weather rhythms" , "On the farm" a sing a long song with props for music time.
