We had cat shapes at the easel and we painted them with primary colors (red, yellow, blue)

We worked together to come up with H words for our alphabet chart.

We did the rhyme, kittens who lost their mittens.

We did the mystery box with things that begin with the letter U.

We read an estimating jar today with crayons, but first we read a book about estimating so the children would understand how to estimate something and why we do it.

We looked at our science experiment from yesterday.  Yesterday, we took 3 cups and put colored water in two of them.  In one, we put yellow food color, and in the other we put blue food color.  The third cup stayed empty.  We a folded paper towel from the yellow cup to the empty middle cup and another one from the blue cup to the empty cup.  Then we waited.  Today, the one paper towel was yellow, the other one was blue and each had wicked color to the middle cup which now was also containing water which was now green.  I will post this later again with pictures.

Stay & Play:

We read "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss (we had scrambled eggs to eat today)
We did twist painting. We dripped paint on paper with an eye dropper and used a plastic disc with a handle to twist and blend the colors.

We did finger rhymes, The body part game, and little bunny foo foo for music time today.

We have a space station set up in our classroom and the children had fun with it.
