Trinity Preschool Activities for MOnday, April 23, 2012

Stay & Play:

We read "City Dog, County Dog" by Mo Willmens

We made "Bugs in the grass" .  We cut green paper along the edge, then we used bug shape stampers to add the bugs.

We did "Hands are for clapping" and "Silly dance contest" for music.

We had out building toys, puzzles, and a puzzle road that we put together for cars.

Willow Room:

We read "Over in the meadow" by Louise Voce

We asked the children if they have the letter "U" in their name?

We painted using popscicle makers where we attached small brushes to the stick holder and paint in the liquid holder part.  The children think it is very fun to paint in this way.

Maple Room:

We read "The grouchy ladybug" by Eric Carle

We made ladybugs for our bulletin board.  We painted the outside bottom of paper bowls red and added black dots using a cork dipped in black paint.  We had lady bug shapes at the easel with dab a dot painters.

We did the April song, and practiced our Mother's day songs.

We did letter Y activities and we had some ladybug letter matching and lady bug counting games out today.

Oak Room:

We read "The three little fish and the big bad shark" by Ken Geist and "Rainbow fish and the dangerous deep" by Marcus Pfister.

We are cutting out an air balloon shape and painting them to make our bulletin board for after we are done with under the sea.

We practiced our Mother's Day songs.

We are growing a "sponge in water" grasshopper.
