Trinity Preschool Activities for Wednesday, November 2, 2011

We played outside today- one more great day before the weather cools off. We used balls, big trucks and rakes outside today.

Stay & Play:

We had fresh made pancakes with blueberries and bananas and syrup today.

We played a small group game about outside sounds .

We glued some pretty colorful sequins onto paper for art.

Willow Room: MWF class:

We asked the children "What is your favorite farm animal?
We read a story "Whose home? by Keith Falker

We used farm animals stencils to make pictures and used pastel paint.

We had chalk at the easels.

We did the Good Day song, and used farm animal puppets

We also did "Silly dance contest"

We added Hay to our sensory table and farm animals. We have LEGO's with farm animals too, and a gear farm in our room.

Maple Room:

We read "Thanks for Thanksgiving" by Julie Markes

We did a cutting project "I am Thankful" feathers for our "Thankful Turkey" which we will put in the hall.

We had acorn shapes with glitter paint and spool rollers at teh easel.

We sang The November song, Months song ( and talked about months) and we did the Freeze dance.

We read a second story called "I am walking" and we took a walk around the courtyard and looked at the flowers and bushes in there.

We did letter D activities. We had dry erase boards at the table and the children could practice writing their names or letters.

Oak Room: Pre- K class

We read "Don't laugh Joe" by Keiko Kasza and Cock a doodle hoooo! by Mick Manning

We cut out feather shapes for our Thankful turkey and we asked the children what they are thankful for- we will write their answers on the feathers.

We did bear hunt, silly sally and turkey in the brown straw for music.

We did a guessing game of objects hidden in a bag.

We are working on the letter H.
