Willow Room: MWF class

We read "Penguin's skating party" by Dana Regan and we asked the children "Would you like to be a penguin?" We graph the results and use them to make number comparisons.

We painted on white paper using mittens with textures on them.

We had magnetic letters at the easel.

We did a fun bean bag song, we followed directions putting the bean bag on parts of our bodies as the song said. We did the sneezing song, and Hands are for clapping.

We played in the gym with the soccer nets and balls, hoppy balls, and our rocking alligator.

We talked about things that begin with the letter D and made a chart of the words that start with D.

Maple Room:

We read "One winter's Day" by M. Christina Butler

We had vivid watercolors, small brushes and white paper at the tables today.

We sang Clap your hands, and did the ABC letter sounds song.

We did some letter N activities and had out a letter N puzzle.

Oak Room:

We read "Don't wake the bear" by Marjorie Dennis Murray

We made "snow globes" out of paper. We took contact paper, added some glitter and put a winter picture on it. Then we add a base and it looks like a snow globe. They are on our window.

We used drums to keep a beat with deep in the jungle and we did old mc donald had a band using instruments.

We are talking this week about the letter Q. We are also reading each child's story about the three bears.
