Activities for Wednesday, Dec. 9

All classes played in the gym today with scooters, tunnel, balls and hoops.

Willow Room: MWF class

We read "Snowmen at night" by Caralyn Buehner. This is a book on CD.

We asked the children if they made a snowman?

We made holiday wreaths by gluing green triangles on wreath shapes, we used silver glitter glue and crunched up red tissue paper to make "berries" for the wreaths.

We had out a shape puzzle book, a shape box and a game where you make a picture using colored dots.

We did a lot of pretending to make bread and cookies in our bakery shop.

We are still practicing our holiday songs for our party.

Maple Room- MWF class

We read "The gingerbread boy" by Paul Galdone

We made some wrapping paper to wrap our presents for our parents- we used holiday stampers and stamped designs on tissue paper. At the easel we had tree shapes with tissue and glue.

We practiced our December songs and our songs for our Holiday party.

Our gingerbread man escaped again and took several friends.....we found them hiding all over our room.

Oak Room-

We read "Gingerbread Mouse" by Kate Bratun and we also read "D.W."s Perfect Present" by Marc Brown

We worked in our journals today writing "L" words. We also took out small groups to do a patterning game.
