Activities for Wednesday, Dec. 2

We were able to get outside again today- each day now is a bonus!

Willow Room: MWF class:

Our book today was "Spot bakes a cake" by Eric Hill

Our question today was "Have you been to a bakery? and what did you see there?" We have our bakery set up and we discuss with the children what a bakery is, what they make there and how it smells.

We are working on some special Holiday gifts for our art today- shhhh!
We had mitten stencils and markers at the easels.

For music we are practicing our holiday songs.

We have new soft minty green playdough with Holiday cookie cutters.

We have corn flour in our sensory table.

Maple Room:

"The Little Red Hen" by Paul Galdone

We did a gluing project to make our holiday project
At the easel we had round donut shape paper and puffy paint.

We practiced our songs for the holiday party, and we sang our December song and our winter song.

Oak Room:

We worked on our journals today drawing pictures of the letter "K". We also took small groups of children to another classroom and played some small group games working on letters, shapes, and some word recognition.

The children are loving the bakery and the special food puzzles we have too.
